Rover knows what’s important. It’s the companionship, the love, the fun that the two of them have together. That is what really counts. Not who wins. Who cares!
Had a pick-up game that ran the entire semester at school, players traded places, came and went as they had time and no-one cared who was winning. It was the playing that counted.
This has got to be the BEST COMIC STRIP EVER. I read this strip faithfully. It reminds me of me and my lab Jake (who recently passed). These last few have been particularly GREAT as my partner works for Hasbro and Monopoly is my favorite board game. I told him that they should reach out to Brian Basset and see if he would sign these last few strips and send them to Hasbro to hang on thier wall!

As long as Rover has his scottie dog game piece, a few doggie hotels, and Red to play with, he enjoys his Monopoly game!

I hated that game as a child. It never ended. It went on for ever and ever and ever…Ahhhhhhh!!!

I loved that game as a kid. It was better than a lot of the “kiddie” games. I hated snakes & ladders.

I’m with you, Rover. That little dog was the best part of Monopoly!

I always insisted on being the battleship — otherwise I wouldn’t play!
