TI calculators cost $170. Had a $2 slide rule through my first six semesters of Chem Phys, and Bio. Course back then geeks were geeks and men were purely mortals.
@Doctor Toon — Would you have used a slide rule, then? How exactly did those work anyways?
A book of five-place tables cost $17. When scientific calculators reached that price, the tables disappeared.
