Just go to your local library that has microfilms of the local newspaper. Time consuming, but effective. (Our local paper did not carry this strip until about 1947. When they announced that this strip was going to be added, I was elated as I thought they meant “Lum and Abner”. Oh well, this turned out exciting too.)

I am very curious if we are going to see new strips of Li’l Abner, I mean later than 1938, before we go back to the Baron again.

That’s what I’m doing with Little Orphan Annie. I have the first 7 volumes of the Complete Little Orphan Annie and I’m patiently waiting for volume 8.
