I am now pretty certain that the letters are fabrications. That, or nuclear physicist aren’t all that detail-oriented and can’t remember from letter to letter which incorrect name they are using for this strip.
This is about the fourth time they have repeated story lines. They surely must have some “new” ones" in the archives they could start using. This is the start of the story of the dumping of the atomic rubbish on dogpatch, & creating 24 hour darkness. Some new stories please!???
They’d file tax forms today to get the earned income credit.As for the repeating, I’ve read that the web site has legal access to only so many strips. I suspect they are just keeping our interest up so they can publish some books in the near future. Also, check the microfilms of your local papers. Mine started carrying Lil Abner about 1947 and I was excited at the time because I thought it was going to be Lum and Abner.
