Hillbillyman – The one you mention is authentic. It is in the old “Boot Hill” cemetery at Tombstone, Arizona, site of the famous shootout at the OK Corral.

I’ve learned a wonderful new and ancient word this morning: *pelf.* I will now await an opportunity to use it in conversation.

I suspect it’s the same as mine. One day in 1993, I took a day trip from London to Portmerion. I caught a 7:00 am train from Euston Station, changed at Wolverhampton, Shrewsbury and Dovey Junction. I only had a couple of hours to spend there before catching the train back. That went all the way to Birmingham New Street, where I changed for the last time, getting back to London around 1:00 a.m. It was well worth it. My only disappointments were that the head of the statue of Sir Clough Williams Ellis was missing, and the green dome had been painted a shade of copper.
