Instead of trying to decide if the glass is half full or half empty, i just drink from the bottle.
After less than years of therapy, my wallet is less than half full.
I can live with “half empty.” I can’t deal with “half clean.”
We drank out of the hose years ago.
Or, as the engineer says, “My glass is twice as big as it needs to be.”
If someone asks me that “half-full / half-empty” question, I say, “That depends; is the water at that level because it was filled up to there or emptied down to there?”
