Problem is they migrate to the passenger compartment, and you don’t want to be bitten by a yellow sac spider (speaking from personal experience).

Believe it or not: In a full slate election, the road commissioner is the most important person you vote for — he determines whose roads get snow removal after a blizzard! (OK, maybe not so important in southern states)
