Nancy: WOW---That tree limb smashed right through your roof--- How are you going to fix THAT?
Sluggo: FIX it? WHY? It's very fashion-able now. They call it "bring the outside in".
Give it a rest Susan. Sluggo Smith is a caricature of a depression-era boy living on the “wrong side of the tracks”. He was lucky to have a roof over his head, as many kids of that time did not. Although he sometimes gets frustrated with things, his ebullient outlook on a life most of us would consider dismal makes a point for us all.
Let’s not argue who killed who. Comics should be a happy occasion. For the record, I get Susan’s humor. Have fun with it and comment section. I don’t think anyone should get upset because people make a joke about the comic premise. I also don’t think we all need to write “great one Guy and Brad” or “Oh Sluggo, you loveable scamp!” Time to lighten up and enjoy.
