It’s not so easy with the never ending love! It must stand the test when you are old and look perhaps like a gargoyle!

To be accurate, they aren’t gargoyles because those are useful, draining water. The correct name for architectural features with no purpose is a hunkypunk. (go on, google it, I’m not making it up!)

My friend use to say …if the angel passes and says amen….your stuck with it!

Hadn’t ever heard of the word hunkypunk before. Interesting! I also have heard of weird, non-gargoyle architectural figures referred to as grotesques, in the noun sense.

Hobbs just looks silly in panel four.

A gargoyle channels water, the name referring to the “gurgle”. A grotesque is “decorative” rooftop sculpture.

I would have thought that a hunkypunk was a person given to disruptive behavior who has a chiseled body.

If my face froze like that, I’d invest in some white masks!

gargoyles – is that something like “cars and goils” – mebbe a bit later when Calvin grows up. Hobbes likes smoochies in the car or out of the car…..

If you are going to freeze your face, a gargoyle is a good choice,,, unless you aim to get smooches eventually.
