You may think you’re watching TV—but not really. +++++@ walruscarver2000, I don’t see the problem. Mom already called him to come; now she needs to get his attention and point out that TV is not at the top of the priority list. Speaking firmly is better than most of the other ways to do that.
Good for mom! If you let kids do whatever they want to do whenever they want to do it, then you shouldn’t be surprised when they take on a snotty “You can’t tell me what to do because I’m the boss of YOU!” kind of attitude. It’s better to establish early on who’s really in control and never, ever, ever(!) relinquish that control no matter what or you’ll have a real mutiny on your hands when they become teenagers!
Do whatever the Greater Authority tells you to do, or whatever the Greater Authority thinks you are doing. (Or do what they don’t know you’re doing and keep it real quiet.)
I cry every day because selfish Bill Watterson has stopped creating C&H. I understand his need for “freedom of expression” and not being held to a deadline, but why can’t he just put out some collections every now and then? Gee, Bill, is it asking too much? Devoted fan … have ALL the books.
