I want to live in England for my next job. When I visited there, it seemed like there was a book store on every corner (sort of like Starbucks, except they weren’t all chains). Would be very expensive though! Bookstores here in Japan don’t have as big a selection and the import charges are killer (and military base book stores are laughable).
Powell’s Books, Portland, OregonHuge, independent, new and used books… and thankfully (for me anyway) an online presence.I love my electronics… but I love my books.

I should add I do love iBooks on my iPad, but I love the real thing as well.
