Umm…. Hi, everybody? Hard times in Texas! There are areas with NO water service because the wells are dry. I don’t wish them a hurricane, but i certainly wish them a lot of rain. I’m watching, David. Hope it’s not in your part of the state?
As long as we’re on the subject of movies, here’s one that I saw over 50 year ago in 1956 or ‘57 that I can’t remember can’t remember the title or the actors:The Confederacy has some criminal prisoners rob a Northern gold shipment.. However one Confederate officer (the hero), not a criminal, is planted among them to make sure everything goes right. I believe the locale is in Colorado, but I’m not sure.
I can’t remember in what part of the movie the stagecoach is robbed, but after some meanderings, there appears a girl (the heroine). I know that the movie is in color because at one point one of the criminals (the villain) takes off his suit jacket and reveals he’s wearing a BRIGHT red vest. He dances with the girl, who is flirtatiously rubbing his arms.
Near the end of the movie the hero and the villain are having a knife fight when it’s learned that the war is already over. The villian is knifed to deaf and in the last scene they are burying him.
Several movies have been suggested to me as the movie (Quantrills Raiders, etc), – have seen them, but they are not the movie I actually saw.
Morning, Village. Thanks, Slim for thinking about us. No, we have water, just no rain. We don’t want a hurrican either, but a tropical storm would be welcome.
I can’t remember if there was an accordion. Maybe it figured when the heroine was dancing with the villain. I saw the movie in 1956 or ’57 and believe it wasnew then. Thanks for checking.
GOOD AFTERNOON ALLBeen raining all day up here but we need it , it’s been very dry the last few weeks
@ ML, my motor home neighbor behind me is leaving Aug.26 for a 5-6 thousand mile trip around the US then returning to his place in FL. for the winter. Anyways two of his stops on the way is to visit a friend in Red Lodge Montana and also Bear Tooth Pass Highway. He said Walter Cronkite said it was the most beautiful hwy in the US… any coment?? for me
We got in around 3 p.m. from our little “Anniversary” trip. That National Bison Range was just spectacular!
If any of you folks get a chance to come out west, that would be one of the highlights of your trip. Took the better part of the day to go through the whole place. Outstanding!
I checked with my favorite resource (I married him a while back) and he doesn’t remember, either. I remember something vague about Rock Hudson, but I couldn’t find anything like it on his filmography.

Morning villagers.
Arye, I to have no idea as to the title of your movie.
Was there an accordion in this, I recall a movie with a train, and one of the characters had an accordion.
Oh yah, the train was on fire. Saw it at the drive-in.
Will have to check in the IMDb.com
David, hope you get that tropical storm soon.
After a flooded spring we’er now in need of rain, but not like you.We got rain coming, not a lot, but we’ll split it with you.
Well may be later.
