Good morning, VistaBill, and All Who are to Come……Cloudy night, so we didn’t bother sitting out. Watched an unusual film…….Harrison Ford in Hollywood Homicide. Never heard of it, but watched it anyway. He is always fun to watch. A couple of funny parts, but mostly gang stuff.

G’Day everybody.I can not find my King’s Hill journal. I know it has to be here somewhere, but WHERE????I have found the journal from 1975, which I seem to remember being a fun year. Some entries are brief, some quite detailed. I have to admit that they are spoadic, there being days when for what ever reason, I made no entry.This one I will keep close at hand. Hope you folks find it a bit interesting. And with that……………………
On the cover:1975…Ajournal of what…..of Ideas….of Thoughts…..of What Happened…..A Narrative of Floyd…..of Shirttail Creek…..of Gold…..of Life…..of LIVING!! I can say, with all honesty, that I believe the days, months, that I spent on Shirttail were the most alive days I have lived!!!
DAY ONE JULY 11, 1975Almost 8:00A.M.. I’m up, waiting with a mixture of eager anticipation about making camp on Shirttail again, and s certain amount of dread at the thought of the packing in to be done. Curious, too, about how many people I know that I’ll run into.Got here about 4:30. Met Vic (a brother) in Colfax, at Cathy’s. He came down and helped Phil and I pack in.
Now they’re gone and I’m sorting things out. Planning on trout and potatoes for supper.
I have no way of knowing the time. I’d guess around 9:30 or so. Flashlight sits in my lap while I write this. I’ve sorted things out fairky well. Had mytrout and potatoes for supper, I’m down to my lastcigarette. Am gloriously stoned and so wonderously excited to be back on Shirttail.The fires mostly coals, and the creek is talking to me. Soon I’ll light this last smoke,drink my coffee, and go to bed.
