Good morning, Vagabonds. It’s 3:37 AM here on the east coast. As some of you know, I’ve been copying all my VHS tapes to DVD and watching them while copying them. I just finished watching “Forrest Gump.” I must admit that this is the 1st time I’ve seen it, although thruout the years I’ve heard so much discussion about it. I am impressed! I must add: Collections of things are not just for possessing, but for enjoying. If your collections are too much to read or to watch, then you’re not getting anything out of owning thrm.
Arye – How right you are. I’ve still still got boxes of Star Trek novels that I just can’t part with. Yet, I haven’t opened those boxes in years.
Forrest Gump has some great lines. For example:“Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.”“Sometimes there just aren’t enough rocks.”“Have you found Jesus?” – “I didn’t know I was supposed to be looking for him.”
Hi folks..Oh yah, I got Star Trek books, and I have several ERB series like Tarzan, John Carter of Mars, the Earth’s Core, so on, and so on.Have Sci-Fi will read..I was at the Fair yesterday, spent most of my time in Floral Hall To answer any questions anyone might have about the Grange. (wasn’t to busy)Wandered though Floral Hall, down the midway and back, listened to some music at the little stage near the hall.All in all nice day..ttfn\\//_
My Mountain Man is reading as many Star Trek books that he can get his hands on. Every used book store and sale around here have none available.! Either there is no interest, or everyone is keeping them for their collections.
We both have our own book collection……..and it is constantly growing. And, we both enjoy reading them!
Watched “Robin and the Seven Hoods” last night (from our VHS and DVD collection) I picked it just to hear Dean Martin sing about A Man Who Loves His Mother" whilst he beats Frank Sinatra at pool.
