Luann is lying on the bed talking to Bernice: " Tommorrow is Valentine's Day. Bernice wonder if I'll get something from Aaron and Miguel and Gunth - " Bernice replies: "Stop." Angrily Bernice says: "Will this boy notice me. Will that boy kiss me. Will this boy love me. Is that boy mad at me." Bernice looks at Luann and says: "All you're about anymore is you and your stupid "Boyfriends"! What about OUR friendship? Huh? Do you even care what I'm thinking??" Luann laughs and says: "Ok. Who do you think I'll get a Valentine from?" Bernice gets up to go and says: "That is it. I'm leaving." Luann turns to Bernice and says: "You need a boyfriend." Bernice replies: "I need a friend." Bernice walks off. Luann is left in her bedroon sitting on the floor and gives out a big : "Sigh."

The last panel is really sad and even a great omage a one of the best comics master ever.
