Well, here I am again to welcome everyone to Friday. Of course it will be three or four hours before anyone reads it?I remember when the Vagabonds first came here and established the village. There was life here, socializing for a while before toddling off to bed. There were anywhere from 15 tio 30 post every night, then……. People started disappearing. Now the Village has “For Sale” and “For Rent” signs on every lane I guess the housing crash hit here, too. Now it’s rare to reach ten posts. So lonely. So sad. I welcome any comments???

Morning, Vagabonds. Slim, I know what you’re saying. I guess the mystic is wearing off. There are only a few of us who still come here. And even fewer who come to the Annie 2002 site. But I still enjoy the camaraderie I get when I’m here. I think I’ll just keep on making my daily visit as long as GoComics lets me.

    Here’s the link to Today’s Annie .

Well, the bank was much more reassuring. I can definitely get the loan. The interest rate is a little higher than I wanted and the down payment is a lot more than I expected, but I think I can handle it. But just to be on the safe side, we’re going to shop around a little and see what some other lending institutions have to offer.

    Good Morning, Vagabonds

I’m still around and read almost every day, but I haven’t been posting much as of late. Between work and health issues, I am tired a lot.

Good morning everyone. David, good luck with your house financing. I certainly appreciate your reproducing Annie. I t was actually Annie that brought me to GoComics. I couldn’t keep up with the plot everyday in the NY Daily News (I came in at the point the FBI man was poisoned in the hospital prompting Annie to escap). So I googled Annie and somehow came across GoComics. To my delight, I not only found a dozen other comics, but I loved the comments everyone else gave.My original pen name, in fact, was “Anniefan” and I was so disappointed when Annie ended in mis-plot. I believe it was you who asked everyone to protest the exclusion of Annie in GoComics. I started doing that in the comics I read, and several people ridiculed me for doing so.

I started reading Bob’s version of how the Annie may have continued, but frankly, when it veered too close to faroff, I began to wonder, “Is this how Annie really would have continued with the regular cartoonist?”

Anyway, I’m glad to continue with the other comics I read (about 16 in all) and to have discovered our Village.

Arye – Hey, I remember “AnnieFan.” Good to recognize you from the olden days! Several of us did indeed protest the cancellation of Annie. I don’t remember getting ridiculed for it, though.

Morning Gentlemen. I remember when Annie got cancelled. David turned his avatar upside down until we found the archives. And, David, I do read her daily, I just don’t always comment.

Slim, the Village has gotten smaller, that’s for sure. I am very glad my friends here stick around to amuse, help and encourage each other.

David, my prayer for your house and loan is the same as when I was looking for a house in the Vegas area. May God show you His will. May He open the doors that cannot be shut and slam shut the ones that should not be opened.

Good morning, Villagers!..another crummy night where I woke up at 3 and couldn’t fall asleep again until 5!!!! Isn’t insomnia fun?..I’m sorry for all your frustrations, Slim. Yeah, we had a lot more commentors way back when, but, I know that I enjoy our gang, and post as often as I can. I have also whittled down the number of ‘toons that I comment on because I just don’t want to sit behind the computer all day long. ..I do read the Annie strip once in a while, but not often enough to comment on, david. (glad to hear you are getting your house!)

We had a wild fire just 4 miles north of our house yesterday! Scared the bajeebers out of me (I have so few bajeebers left)...Fortunately, there were 3 engine companies responding, and it was kept to 40 acres, and knocked down within 6 hours!!!! Thank you, God!!!
