    I saw that elephant’s moment, too. Very interesting stuff… exciting!The evidence I’m citing… mostly comes from reading the way tests have been set up, and the wording of the results. To me, there has been clear evidence of a pre-existing bias against animals having anything approaching our “superior” emotional range.

    Did you read that there are people who want to completely dismiss the elephant’s “eureka” because it wasn’t “observed in the wild”…?
