Luann by Greg Evans and Karen Evans for August 31, 2002
Transcript:
"Brad, your actions were selfless and decisive. You saved a life." "Thanks." "However, I have to file a reprimand. You violated safety procedures, acted outside the scope of your training and didn't wear proper safety gear. I'm sorry, Brad." "Well? You gettin' the key to the city? Are they naming it 'Bradtown'? When's the parade?"

Typical of government hierarchy. Commend you on taking action that positively impacts the individual or community being helped, but reprimand you for failure to follow procedure and protocol that could very well result in more disastrous results.

But it’s true, he didn’t follow the order and just the same thing as with Luann in the pool could have happened. And instead of his Supervisor pulling out Zane, he would had to pull out 2 ppl, which would have been impossible and 1 would have died – Brad. So let’s talk about which part is worse.
