The present Republican party must be the worst opposition party known to mankind. When the goal becomes to defeat the incumbent and regain power by any means possible, even to the extent of wrecking the country, then that party must be defeated.

@ImaYour good common sense and simple economics does not hold up. The country was at the brink of destruction when Obama took over after eight years of Republican mismanagement. Does it make sense to kick out the guy who brought it back from oblivion and replace with the guys who took it there? That’s not my common sense. The U.S. still faces major, major problems, much as a result of decades of living on borrowed money and not paying the bills. Simple economics does not support the Republicans having the way to salvation.

The fact remains that, although it was an off-hand remark by a Democrat observer to reporters Ben Smith and Jonathon Martin, it did not come from the Obama campaign. The Romney campaign did however glom on to it to score political points.
