Phantom – Interesting title for the new storyline (“A Detente with Crime!”). Mark Trail – Mark has finally changed his red shirt, but Cherry (see 8/18) and Johnny are wearing theirs. :-) Rex Morgan – I recall that someone commented a few days back about Kelly’s bare midriff. Having that much skin showing would be against the dress code in most of today’s high schools.Funky W. – It appears that Les is almost, but not quite, ready to put the wedding band on Cayla’s finger.Apt. 3-G – So maybe we’ll get to see what happens at the Linski family reunion – unless this strip segues into a different storyline (again).FoxTrot – Roger twists the idea of “making lemonade out of a lemon” into making drain cleaner out of his homemade wine.
Apartment 3-G – Wow, that was an exciting addition to this edge-of-the-seat conversation.Funky Winkerbean – Why hasn’t he met her family yet?Judge Parker – He’s lucky he didn’t get shot.Mark Trail – Sounds like a good idea, but what do you expect it to prove?Mary Worth – The Witness Protection Program, I s’pose.Phantom – I think that’s the Phantom in the brown suit.Rex Morgan – Florchi, it was I who commented that her attire would be in violation of most school dress codes. Today’s strip pretty well illustrates what I was talking about.Annie – Here’s the link to Today’s Annie .
Rex Morgan—Kelly seems surprised that she is not being included in the conversation. If they suspend her, who will supervise her? Her mother has a job now.
Funky – Maybe her parents live some distance away. Will they be unhappy with the interracial marriage? I don’t recall anything about Les’s parents. Labor Day would be way too soon to plan a wedding. Cayla also has a daughter so I guess she’s been married before.
