Jason: Does it really get cold enough for icicles? I’m accustomed (VERY reluctantly!) to -40º in winter, which would easily leave the house looking like that. But Sydney? Your record low is 2.1º, mate; we get that in summer sometimes! I’m not calling you a liar, mate; a friend who spent a couple of years there said he met two Winnipeggers on the west coast who claimed they’d never been so cold. But I had assumed that was just a damp chill they were experiencing.
