Ask yourself … can the U S of A survive another Texan as President?

If Bachmann weren’t so hard-wired WRONG about everything, she’d be the fair candidate to pick in that field. Six terms as a US Rep, advanced degrees, whole bit. But she tries to claim submission to her husband is the same as respect (no, it isn’t) and won’t let him be discussed when her Biblical submission mandates she listen to him when he insists. He needs to be vetted as thoroughly as she does if she gets the nomination, preferably sooner so the GOP knows what it has!

I can see what you are all trying to say…never vote for an inexperienced, untested, populist because the President we have now has done more damage in less than 3 years than what the past 4 presidents have done in 28….Vote for former Governors only, or try someone from the private sector like Herman Cain.

With Tim Pawlenty out of the presidential race, it is now fairly clear that the GOP candidate will either be Mitt Romney or someone who makes George W. Bush look like Tom Paine. Of the three most plausible candidates for the Republican nomination, two are deeply associated with a theocratic strain of Christian fundamentalism known as Dominionism. If you want to understand Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry, understanding Dominionism isn’t optional.

Put simply, Dominionism means that Christians have a God-given right to rule all earthly institutions.

I LOVE the reference to revelation in the last campaign of the Romney family’s insane & dangerous practice of vacationing w/ their dog tied to the roof of their car in his carrier!

Looks like a Schwans truck. Bachmann’s declaration on “submission” is just Islam without the burka, actually. (Mohammed was actually VERY egalitarian. It’s the latter day nuts, well, just like Falwell, Robertson et al, that are the “problem”.) Bachmann also says our representatives are elected by the people to do their bidding, in what she’s calling “representation”. It should not be overlooked that mental incompetents, including the brain dead, have legally appointed representatives to PROTECT THEM FROM THEMSELVES! Looking at Bachmann and her electorate, I’d doubt any sane judge would appoint her to protect US or her fans’ best interests.

When a relationship is 100% mutual, like a marriage should be, it is not submission.

Submission is when someone lets someone else do all the thinking and takes his orders…like a soldier and his general, like a believer to the clergy or, to a certain extend, like a child to his parent.

A person can submit to someone they hate; just think about most bosses!

What person doesn’t prefer someone who loves him/her rather that someone submitted?

If Bachmann’s understanding of “submission” is “respect”, would she then agree that her husband is obliged to be “submissive” to her? Would they put it in those terms?

Yes, RESPECT is a two-way street. SUBMISSION is not.

I try to eat healthy but i agree with stoic that it’s none of anyone else’s business if I want to binge on Big Macs and ice cream…or if I want to SELL them for that matter.

Biblical submission is demonstrated when a woman empowers her husband to be the spiritual leader in the home. It does not mean that she has no input or cannot think for herself. Submission as directed in the Bible and willed by God is seen when a wife respects her husband and trusts him to make wise decisions regarding the family while at the same time discussing issues and working with him to come to those wise decisions. Likewise the man is called to love his wife unconditionally even to the point of giving his life for her even as Christ so loved the church. He is not to disrespect or lord over her but he is to love, honor and cherish her.

I never said anything about Mrs. Obama. She can preach about carrot sticks all she wants to. That doesn’t bother me. I just said it’s no one else’s business if I want to eat or sell big macs. There has been a strong push of late to begin regulation of restaurants and what types of food they are allowed to serve and some local governments have already banned the sale of foods not meeting nutritional standards. That is not only bad economics but it is also an infringement upon the freedoms of the people.

“Many restaurants look to local providers because they are not only better quality, they’re more economical.”Then why do we have to force them by law to do so?
