All right, class. How did everyone do with summer reading? Toby? Pretty good. Lucky charms, cinnamon toast crunch, even Cheerios. Did you read anything besides cereal boxes? Sure! Pop tarts, McDonald's bags...
The summer between my Sophomore and Junior years, of High School. I had to read ’ War and Peace’ for a political science class.I still HATE that teacher. And that was 35 years ago.
But aren’t you glad you read it? Can’t you, I dunno, lord it over people that you actually put in the effort once and got it done? That’s what War & Peace is FOR, right?
Being retired sounds like a good way to start reading more. I can’t seem to plow through books the way I used to. I used audiobooks for a while to try and keep up, but now, it’s mostly podcasts.
But will he know want the Fiber Plus “means”? Will he be able to write a review? .I never minded the reading. Rather read than do homework. A few years ago my TV died. Took a week of looking around and pricing before I got the one I now have. Thought during that time I would get the housework done, fix things, sew, knit, etc. Instead I killed off a book a night.
