It makes as much sense as his brother Thor’s method.
Question: Thor “flies” by throwing his hammer, then catching the handle and being carried along with it. But we also know that, after being thrown, Mjolnir returns to his hand. Since, when Thor flies the hammer is already/still IN his hand, assuming the two powers don’t cancel each other out to begin with, wouldn’t Mjolnir stop in mid-arc and plummet to earth?
