This comic was published years ago. So, it was probably published on an anniversary, or just late in 2001, since Detorie and other cartoonists couldn’t get something published that quick.
I take it you mean what was published on GoComics. You can access that by using the archive (the calendar icon on the right above the strip; you may have to click the backwards arrow between that and the date to activate the archive from here). I did that to locate this.
This one was dated 9/11/09. To respond to to what she say in the last panel: If you watch Saturday Morning Cartoonsnow, it better be cable. The last TV network (ABC) has close the door on them this past Sept. 3.
In addition to this one from September 9, 2009, he also published 9/11 tributes on September 11, 2011 September 11, 2010September 11, 2008September 11, 2007September 11, 2006 (the Michael mentioned this year)He may have also published 9/11 tributes 2002-2005, but the archive really gets weird concerning dates before 2006 and the creators.com archive only goes back to 11/19/06.
