I’ve seen St Francis covered with birds, never dog’s——.That punctuation was a typo.

Oh that’s just punny.

I went to an “English Dinner Night” at a local parish run by Fransiscans and it was really good. I said I’d like to compliment the cook. A friendly-looking fellow in a brown robe came out to see me. “Are you the fish friar?” I said. “No. I’m the chip monk.”

Looks like St. Francis is still connected to the vine. That’s good to see.

I thought the chip monk was the brother in Las Vegas who goes around to the casinos with the chips tossed into the weekend Mass collection to cash them in. . . .
