Adam: You do know what happened today. 52 years ago... Clayton: I do? Adam: "The Twilight Zone" made its TV debut. Clayton: When are you going to let me watch those DVDs? Adam: My favorite is when they're all in the cafe and they know there's an alien among them. But which one? Who is it? Then they all turn on each other while the alien calmly watches. And just when the alien thinks he's won the battle... Curve ball! A rival alien has defeated him! Clayton: Sounds like an episode of "Celebrity Apprentice". Adam: Don't bad-mouth the aliens, son.

The best Twilight Zone was the man on the plane with the gremlin on the wing. Scared the heck out of me as a kid, especially when the face was in the window!

Twilight Zone was okay. Outer Limits rocked!
You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to… The Outer Limits.

They were both great. Can’t beat the one with Burgess Meredith breaking his glasses at the end for irony though.

I was about Clayton’s age when I was first exposed to “Twilight Zone.” And from some of the things we know that Clayton HAS seen, Adam should turn him loose on it. It won’t be as risque or violent as what’s the norm today, and the writing was better (cause and effect?). Such a great show. So many great episodes to choose from.
Speaking of trivia, Rod Serling was one of the screenwriters on the original “Planet of the Apes” movie, and parts of it bear his earmarks – the “lesson” Taylor learns about the humanity he’s always despised, as well as the Great Twist at the end. The original book (by Pierre Boulle) was VERY different, in both tone and detail (not just the necessary differences between novel-writing and movie-writing; the book is very…French). And in a SHOCKING TWIST, the original author of “The Planet of the Apes” turns out ALSO to have written…“The Bridge on the River Kwai”!!!

my favorite was the old woman in a shack gets invaded by a tiny spaceship. and attempts to kill the aliens. at the end we see it is a U.S. craft

My favorite episode was “Night of the Meek”, with Art Carney. One of the best episodes ever, and arguably the best Christmas episode of all tv shows ever. Brings a tear to my eye every time I watch it.
