If he’s wild, then why is he wearing clothes?

Mr. Perry, you may be able to fool a crowd of Texans but these forest critters will see right through you. You’d have done better with the cat in Get Fuzzy.

Mr. Fry, Mr. Lewis: I love your cartoon, but if I wanted political opinion I’d go to a political opinion website. If I wanted the political opinion in this cartoon, and yesterday’s, I’d go to the DNC home page. Please, keep it to yourselves.

And it also cleared out the flat earth crowd from the posters – unless they are lying about leaving like Goodhair did about seceding. I used to say if Texas were a republic again, I’d give it ten years before it was a military dictatorship. Today, I would give it six months.
The Republic of Texas is the best argument against term limits. Getting rid of Sam Houston in two years was followed by Mirabeau Lamar and his genocide policies, and by the time Houston could get back in power, the Republic was bankrupt. Of course, so is the US for the same reasons, but it took longer.

So, some people don’t know how to use a dictionary. At least, those of us who know how to spell can get the gist of what is being said.

We you know, it’s like this – I’m an ABO supporter, AND a Texas. There once was a governor of Texas named Jim Hogg, and god’s truth, he named his daughter Ima. This can be checked with Google, etc. So the political slant goes on. BTW, I’m for Cain, but like I said – ABO.

banjoaah: Politics is a part of life. The notion that it isn’t is what got us in this mess. It goes back to Pericles, in the part where he is contrasting the proto-democracy of Athens with the other city-states around. " We do not say that he who takes no part in politics is minding his own business; we say he has no business here at all." (funeral oration as recorded by Thucidides)

Where the Wild Things Are, by Maurice Sendak, a classic in children’s literature. The cover picture gives it away, even in that size and fuzziness.

I’m so impressed by the civil level of discourse. Maybe all the trolls have taken the low road and run away. Cheers to our erudite and high-road traveling fans.
P.S. I think Aggie Perry’s behind the debacle of The Longhorn Network. Hammy’s looking into it. – M. Fry
