Three dead may be four, whole towns cut off from the outside, and a home made on ramp to I-89.I loked at the road condition web site, never seen so may road closed icons.Ol’ maw nature can make life interesting.Check out the CBS morning news, a couple gets married in Vermont and stayed for Irene..Hay David, More wild fires in Texas, good grief.How is the house red tape going..Ok folks that’s my news, late..\\//_
GOOD AFTERNOON ALL@dkram, glad it missed you. I saw many pics of the damage in Vermont. same as southern NYS, roads houses power etc.also the Adirondacks got whacked in parts.
@dkramThe big fire in the news is at Possum Kingdom Lake, which is west of Ft Worth. That’s about a 6 hour drive from my house.We’re going to the realtor today and make an offer for the house.
davidf42…..i will be starting to work on my ninth decade,Been a wild ride at times.Montanalady…..The best “cake” i ever ate was my mom’s carrot cake.No frosting, just great flavor. Haven’t met it’s match since.
MontanaLady…..I have my Mom’s recipe for the carrot cake, that she put on a 3X5 file card. Unfortunately, I can not bake anything. My baking is basically “how to spoil a good thing”. So I’m crock-pot, microwave, stovetop or pressure-cooker. No oven. :-(((((
MontanaLady…..I will try to get it out there. The card is very old, and the writing is faint. I might try copying it on my printer,boosting the darkness.
