Earl’s cat is not doing his job of grooming on Earl’s head. If the cat did, Earl would have hair on his head. Maybe the cat doesn’t like lemons. My husband’s cat kept his hair good, even when having Chemo.
I think once in a great while the cartoonist should show they really care abut each other, maybe an anniversary, etc. I do like the off-the-wall humor and puns, but there should be “comic relief” from time to time.
As a person who’s been married a while, I feel like Earl and Opal simply know each other very well and have an “honest” relationship. Neither one means to insult the other; it’s simply being honest.
