    Anybody innocent enough to be harmed by Sherlock’s comment would also be too innocent to understand it, or even to realize that it might be suggestive (at least, until those OTHERS who commented on the comment drew attention to it). Those who are offended by it must already be familiar with the idiom. No harm, no foul.
