Yes but, even I, a life long dog lover and owner did not know choc drops were not chocolate!

Good reminder that ‘real’ chocolate is not good for your pets!

Take a minute and Google choc-drops. This happens twice a year when ever Fred gets a treat in the strip. Besides real chocolate and dogs is an exaggeration anyway!

Are Choc-drops British? I’ve never heard of those. Some kind of chocolate flavored treat that’s safe for pooches?

PS I’m with Fred. For all that, you should at least give him 2 or three. Loosen up with the treats, Pops.

As drawn, Fred is very close to the ideal weight for a basset hound.

All ‘chocolate’ treats for dogs I’ve ever seen in Britain are made from Carob.

If they aren’t where you live, complain to the manufacturers.

I’m too cute to eat chocolate. My cats knocked a bag of chicken jerky dog treats out of the cabinet and I ate the whole thing. My human is not happy with me.
