I think the clam story is BS. According to the USGS website on Invasive Aquatic Species, the corbicula clam is self fertilization; i.e., it lays eggs and sperm.

Why can’t the U.S. do that?

I have a bone to pick with St. Anthony. Apparently, he needs to bone up on things. Maybe Anthony has lost his touch, or he has ’tomb’much to do. It’s a grave issue… monumental, even (Snagglepuss)Stealing the bone relic could be called a sacrilege; I hope the humor isn’t!

Catholic doctrine takes the view that the body must be buried intact in consecrated ground in order to be resurrected on the last day, which is why church policy forbade cremation until the 1960s (apparently, they felt that their omnipotent deity was incapable of re-animating a pile of ashes just as easily as a pile of bones*). So it seems kind of weird that they encourage having their saints’ remains busted up and scattered hither and yon as “relics”.*Which is why the punishment for heresy wa burning alive and the bodies of witches were routinely burned after execution (typically by hanging) – to prevent their resurrection. Ya gotta wonder though – now that they’ve backpedaled on cremation, does that mean that all those heretics and witches are going to get up?

Oh, yeah, right, like the Democrats have just done so much to make the nation a better place. You need to ease up on the kool-aid.
