Don’t you hack on my furry little buddies, Earl. Not when they’re smarter than you. God uses the wee beasties, His will to fulfill. What’s your excuse?
t1Warren, I’ve seen you comment that on several strips. Are you ignoring the ones that DO have 9-11 tributes? It doesn’t mean they don’t care. It just means they’re doing a tribute privately. Ask yourself why. One of the strips you commented on was Canadian.
t1Warren, a little joy or humor can take away some of the pain of remembering such a horrific tragedy. “Remember me with smiles and laughter for that is how I will remember you, if you can only remember me with tears, then do not remember me at all.”
Pickles has been my favorite comic, so true to life, until today. How could you have been so insensitive as to ignore 9/11? Praise to all of the caring writers who honored all who have been and are working to keep our country strong.
Squirrles we have moke and make fun of the dogs while the dogs go crazy. Squirrlles also get into electric transformers and people loose power. To the families who lost loved ones due to 9/11 terriots attacks may Gold Bless you and be with you.
I’ve noticed a thing about squirrels, they seem to live for the challenge. My Dad suspended a bird feeder on an L-hook off the side of the wood shed, so the squirrels wouldn’t get into it. After a few months, we saw the squirrel dangling from the L-hook by its hind legs, arcing its back to reach the bird feeder. My brother built a platform feeder, intended for use by birds and squirrel, and the squirrel would still do the dangling act. Years later, we made a wooden tri-pod and hung two bird feeders from it. One bearing thistle seed for goldfinches, and one with the same birdseed mix we put on the platform feeder. Sure enough we had to adjust the tripod because the squirrels were again dangling by their hind legs from one branch of the tri-pod and arcing their backs to reach the feeder. One even figured out how to grip metal to get down the wire and onto the feeder. Always with the platform feeder perfectly accessible and full of food.
I’ve been surprised several times today at which cartoonists didn’t bother to mention 9/11. Interesting how the comics today are giving us an insight into which cartoonists possess true humanity.

The squirrels have nothing on Earl.

You would think after all the talk about 9-11 there would be something in all the strips today. Guess some people don’t care.

Who says squirrels plant trees accidentally? They know those trees will eventually provide nourishment for their GG grandbabies. Not so dumb.

As much as we will never forget, I get tired of all the rehashing of reminders over and over again. Enough already!

Squirrels are fine, with a cream gravy, homemade biscuits and fresh black-eyed peas.

Yep, simply day time tree rats. Take away the fluffy tail and people wouldn’t think they were so cute.

Squirrels are smarter than us. They “know” Stewardship.

I don’t mind squirrels, love Hammy from ‘Over the Hedge’. Then again he’s in a comic……
