Oh, I don’t know. You’ve got 35,863 subscribers here on GoComics alone. That’s less than half of what “Garfield” has, but it’s thousands more than “Cul de Sac”, and Richard Thompson has a Reuben!
Manfred the Mighty Wonderdog!!!! Duuuuoooooohhh. My poor mother always had a hard time keeping her funnels in the kitchen because we were always playing Tom Terrific with them.
I remember Muttley and Snuffles. Huckleberry Hound. Quickdraw. Snagglepuss. sigh. Maybe Agnes should try for Tom Terrific? since most of us at least remember the name.
If you want to go obscure, I suggest the cartoon that REPLACED Tom Terrific on the Captain Kangaroo Show. Anybody? It was Lariat Sam. But if you’re going for obscure early TV cartoons, you could also go with Crusader Rabbit, the regrettably named Colonel Bleep, Spunky & Tadpole, or the one whose image is WORSE than Agnes’, Clutch Cargo.

Me too. Looks like Agnes needs to go with the ripoff of Howdy Doody.

t-t-t-Tom Terrific!Question: Was Manfred the dog who would go into ecstasy over dog biscuits?
rjhatton about 13 years ago
@mwproto: I know QuickDraw McGraw’s dog, Snuffles, loved his biscuits, but I can’t remember if Manfred did it first.

I didn’t even need to put on my thinking cap for this one.

Muttly was the dog that went all exctasy over the biscuits. I am glad I am not the only one old enough to remember Tom and Manfred

Manfred would always fall asleep on his back with all four paws in the air.
