I only wish I had been smart enough to hold on to a few cereal boxes from my childhood! Didn’t see eBay coming when I was six!

There’s probably more fiber in the box than there is in the cereal…but the Cap’t Oats poster horse is adorable!

It might be interesting to look at even 50 lears later.

I would love to see another one of those Ralston Rice Chex boxes that had that newspaper on it. You know what I mean?

Dry: Yeah, I;m old enough. They also marketed them as “adult” cereals. I wish they still had those low-sugar cereals on the market.

Dad used to take me to a diner for

breakfast back in the late 1950’s early 60’s.

He would have his bacon and eggs over easy..

I,on the other hand, would see the little boxes

of Kellogg’s cereals up on the shelf and order “Sugar Pops”

because it had a cowboy throwing a lasso…

Got a Princess Leah doll when I was 5. Family told me to keep it in the box, it would be worth tons o’ moolah. I was 5, I didn’t listen…

If I remember it right the small boxes could be opened from the front and used as a bowl.

The galley of the St. Roch (RCMP schooner preserved as on the day it entered Vancouver Harbour at the end of the first two-way voyage through the Northwest Passage), has the 1944 cereal boxes – wax paper covered, no inner packaging, and with aircraft identification information on the box. It is on exhibit at the Vancouver Maritime Museum, complete with the actual recorded CBC programme for that day, including the news read by Loren Greene.
