Hey…is anybody out there? At least at 10 years of age our boy hero is wearing some kind of cover-up, or is that a tanning pattern? Good morning gents!

I think his shorts are for the sake of a family comic strip. In the book he was probably still naked.

I remember him looking at his reflection in the water, but I don’t remember the tiger sneaking up behind them. And about his clothing, I don’t think he started wearing a loincloth until after he discovered his parents’ cabin.

Good morning Tarzan fans and (as it was pointed out to us yesterday) self-appointed-experts. -Time seems to have jumped ten years in Tarzan’s retelling of his origin. Perhaps we will soon see his first meeting with Jane ???? (for those who seem to take your daily dose of Tarzan VERY seriously … that was just a silly joke)

Pardon an old man’s sometimers brain … that “self-appointed-expert” comment was made back on 11/25.

Every one of us is SHOCKED!! Young Tarzan in neat shorts??? The Hayes office or the league of decency has stepped in here—all Hal foster ever did was have a leaf or bush in the way and finally his knife dangle in front of you know what!

Heck yeah, i am much more comfortable as a reader with him wearing shorts than a loin cloth!

As a matter of fact, joe kubert drew an awesome tarzan. He made a combination lepord fur underware. If i remember right, it even had a belt on them.

And there you have it—-a “super committee” of self-appointed Tarzan “experts” we have done a far better job than those high paid do-nothings sitting on their thrones in Washington, DC!And there you have it! Still looks like a censorship @Quartermain, and a pencil/inked in thing to me @Ray C.Personally, I prefer the non-patterned plain old tanned lion cloth, sans belt, or suspenders! I wore one of those leopard-patterned swimsuits back in the early 1950s as a youngster and got a lot of odd looks! And as far as “dangling” his knife in front of his manhood, that’s just a VERY bad idea!

No! Not a “Singer”. A “Simian”—-all of the “fashionable” she-apes had one in those days!
