Jambo! Happy Holidays one and all!! Tarzan is now on a revenge mission—-old scores to settle, old debts to be paid— now employing “advanced” weaponry. This list will grow with more apes, lions, leopards, other dwellers of the jungle, and of course—-humans!

Six. Krypto the superdog mourns the death of superboy in superman712. It is grief thru the eyes of a dog. I was floored at the end when the dog lets out a pained howl for the loss of his boy.

Five. Little orpan annie is kidnapped never to see home again on her final comic strip. It was the defiant look in annie’s eyes that is frozen in my memory. Plus it was the best ending i have ever seen.

Four. Tarzan runs across the sahara desert. He ran for 3days and 3nights straight. It brought everything i believe about the limits of the human body into reevaluation. It was just awe inspiring.

Three. Batman finds the head of a social worker he knew in a dumpster. While investigating a string of prostitute murders, he finds his girlfriend also fell victim. He was unable to solve the crime and when i read it at age 10, my eyes were opened to how intense writing could be.

Two. Artemis, wonder womans replacement is killed in wonderwoman100. She beat diana in the ‘contest’ for the honor to be the new wonder woman and for a year we the reader followed this beautiful orange haired goddess in her mission to bring peace to the world. At the end of the year, she was brutally killed in a heart wrenching scene as she layed dying in diana’s arms.

One. The death of superman in superman75. That was just it, the death of a superman. Because no matter how powerful and indestructable he is, nor how important he is to the universe, he would not think twice about laying is life down for me or you.
