Good morning lads! I have to give praise where praise is due. I know that throughout this re-telling we have voiced our approval of mr. John Celardo’s work, but i would like to officaly thank him on behalf of his fans 50 years from his initial work. He has earned his place as a talent in history. Incedentally, yesterdays strip in panel one is my visual frame of reference when i think of tarzan. It was probably mr celarno who came up with that destinctive look. Any how, thank you!! :D
Good morning Brickhouse—also jhuhey -looks like we soon will go to another storyline, the kids may have to turn to their Brothers Grimm story book-and they can be blood drenched too! Katman and Aperson are off in the Jungle some where , maybe on their way to Opar.
Good morning Tarzanatics !!! -I agree with your critique of John Celardo’s work on Tarzan Brickhouse … however I think that classic depiction you refer to was first drawn by Hogarth. Just my memory of course … I could be wrong. My memory often plays tricks on me.
This “retelling” of Tarzan’s origin was the best story we’ve seen for quite some time. Hopefully once the next “installment” we shall be treated to another great tale!On the cusp of New Year’s I wish all tribe mates and fellow fans a most Happy, Healthy, and Pro$perou$ 2012!~!Oh, and thanks for the “Ovaltine” advice, good to know I hang out with such “regular” guys!
I could never get used to those two curls of hair in front of tarzans forehead. It was some concokktion from the 20’s or before and very disconnected. Leave those curls for robin the boy wonder.
I know katman, that hair style is as out dated as captain kirk’s sideburns. By the way good buddy, Happy New Year! to you too! Looks like were going to make it. And may your new year be more exciting and filled with loved ones around you:)
