Good morning to you too, APOI. I agree. It appears that Tarzan has stumbled on to an Amazon tribe. Look out for the Poison Dart Frogs.

Also poison darts were widely used – as far apart as South America and Australia. It probably would take little effort to document them in “Black Africa”, as among the Pygmy tribes themselves perhaps.

Looks like Tarzan will be going into the enemy tribe’s village alone.

Jambo Saturday morning ‘mates! Rains are pouring in SoCal and we sorely need it.Our hero has found his sidekick for this rescue episode and perhaps Bilski has been “setup” as the great white god of the sky by the “enemy tribe” by now—-maybe there are piles of gold and diamonds and lovely women keeping him “amused” as well! In that case he certainly won’t want to rejoin the military——-we’ve seen this before……..Where are the rest of the tribe (Bwana Q, Mr. Brickhouse, Ray C. etc.)…..still hungover from Friday night’s wild festivities?

Why do all you fans try to authenticate happenings in Bur rough’s novels—ERB always let his imagination roam, whether it be Opar—The center of the earth—fictional Africa—larger than life Apes- Carson of Venus—John Carter on Mars—-just relax and let the story enfold, if we didn’t enjoy make believe—we would not be here.

Id be suspicious of tarzan too. Thats an awful lot of touching that little dude.I was told there would be vicious headhunters at the beginning of the story.

There is a possibility that capt. Bilski with his magic wand is the king in the other tribe. This kind of situation is very common in tarzan’s many adventures, so Bilski may not want to be recued after all.

Kind of amazing how some commentors don’t read the statements made before their own. Doing this might avoid redundancy. Anyway, hopefully tomorrow’s Sunday installment gets the action going with the African cult real estate dealings gone bad.

    from Wiki…….

Pygmy is a term used for various ethnic groups worldwide whose average height is unusually short; anthropologists define pygmy as any group whose adult men grow to less than 150 cm (4 feet 11 inches) in average height. A member of a slightly taller group is termed “pygmoid.” The best known pygmies are the Aka, Efé and Mbuti of central Africa. There are also pygmies in Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, and Brazil. The term also includes the Negritos of Southeast Asia.

One last thing; if you notice on my second post, i used the word autism as a descriptive. Can i just say that not only here in the tarzan strip do we get the best art in gocomics.com but we also have the most intellegent and most imaginative commentators. People of the highest caliber seem to just gravitate towards it. Thanks, see ya tomorrow:D

It’s weird that the little guy is speaking in pidgin. I’d assume that he and Tarzan are speaking his language, not Tarzan’s, so it should be Tarzan who’s speaking awkwardly, if anyone.

Sorry Alain – in 50 years here in Australia I have never heard of any use of “poison darts” by indigenous people. Tarzan is a wonderful fantasy – let’s accept that.

Don’t booze guzzling patrons use poisoned darts in a game played in pubs across England, Ireland, and Scotland? Oh, yes—-and in jolly Australia as well mates!

Speaking of the Tarzan strip, I love the art work, the story line and all the comments. Now I don’t know if it’s okay to do this or not, but if anyone reads this, there is a strip over in Sherpa called Single Dad Diaries. I think anyone and everyone will enjoy it. Please check it out. Nobody comments over there so I don’t know if anyone but me reads it, but I like it.
