I always heard that “Behind every great man stands a great woman.” but even being a guy, I sometimes think. “Standing in front of every great woman, is a man who thinks he’s great.”

The best phrasing I ever heard was: “Behind every great man, there is a surprised Mother-in-Law.”

Behaind every good man is a good woman who can make great coffee-because she asked Mrs. Olsen’s advice. Remember those commercials for Folgers?

I brew the coffee and cook breakfast in our house. I’ll have to have a talk with Jimmy.

Y’all are missing the point. The machine is called MR. Coffee, but it’s the woman who makes the coffee, actually uses the machine. So why wasn’t it named Mrs. Coffee, Joe DiMaggio to the contrary notwithstanding?
