No need to revise the Constitution, just understand it. Its purpose is to restrain the government to the defense of individual rights, not to expand goverment to the detriment of rights. Even the Supreme Court is iffy now on “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” after over a century of attack on individualism by the Left/Progressives/Liberals/Socialists.(The first episode of Ken Burns’ “Prohibition” documentary shows what can happen when the religious Right joins forces with the reformist Left. Scary.)
