Never fully understood why people will travel many hours to go to the seashore and the first thing they do is turn on a radio! Same thing while walking in the woods. Instead of listening for wildlife and the wind in the trees they have a radio plugged into their ears! Go figure!
I like my music but I do not play it loud enough for the whole neighborhood to hear. My neighbors are trashy rednecks so I don’t want to hear their country or metal rap blaring.
I used to hate bass thump from cars, but now at work everyone has their iPods playing through the tinny built-in speaker. THAT sound is more headache inducing than loud car speakers.
Hmmph, you can’t go anywhere in public anymore without being forced to listen to “background” music that is usually turned up so high that you can’t hear the person right next to you speaking in normal conversational tones.

AMEN! I think that for some very limited people, loud music is their “mating call!”

agreed – and then add the danger of walking along and crossing a street unable to hear traffic.

Turn on an Oldies station Arlo! Don’t you want to hear the Beatles, or the Coasters, Elvis, and maybe some Buddy Holly.
