A few years ago at the Geek3 convention in Indy, during the opening speeches, they asked that people be kind to their fellow gamers and take showers with soap.
I don’t want to point a finger at anyone in particular, but some people come from places where bathing isn’t a daily ritual. (And don’t even get me started on people not using deodorant nor brushing their teeth!)
There are medical conditions that cause people to have strong body odor. So isn’t judgeing people about the way they smell is kind of shallow if you don;t know their circumstances. Beside isn’t there more drastic issues in the world today. Like maybe they have to live in their car ecause they’ve lost their home.
extreme body odour isn’t necessarily a case of poor hygiene. it can be an issue with a person’s chemical balance or are some kind of medication that upsets that chemical balance.
i work in a residence where the majority of clients are male who do manual labour. the only ones who have issues around body odour tend to be those who also deal with mental health or developmental issues.

I work in retail. Sometimes when I walk by a customer or they walk by me I automatically hold my breath because I know they’re going to smell bad.
