Shouldn’t he be doing that over the toilet, then? Or is he just in denial about the effects of the Stuff you have to drink beforehand?

It’s amazing how much the prep is so much more worse than the actual test….lol

In today’s day of modern medicine, the prep sucks + the test sucks + a few days after sucks as well !!!!

I just had one a couple of months ago, and the prep wasn’t too bad (thanks to lemonade flavoring). I’m still happy that the drugs they give you make it so you don’t remember a thing, even though you are awake during the procedure.

It’s going to be awfully hard inserting it with Dave so uptight.

The prep was kinda ugly, but it was only the second=worst part of the process. The worst part was that the nurse recognized me from my place of work. “Yeah, I work there, but I try not to make such an *ss of myself there.” :)

Last year, I had my first colonoscopy. My doctor was utterly fantastic – he gave me the option of being knocked out, or being completely conscious and able to watch the entire procedure on the monitor as it was happening. I’m a scientist, so I took the conscious route.

It was fascinating, like watching the Discovery Channel except it was my own colon that I was watching! The Doc was terrific at telling me what was going on and answering all my questions. What a great experience! (And also his modern modified prep was really pretty easy to go through while leaving a squeaky-clean colon – and I can vouch for its effectiveness since I actually saw how clean everything was!)
