it would largely be agriculture and domesticated plants and flowers that would suffer from an absence of honeybeees. native bees, wasps, moths, butterflies, and birds would assume, or resume their natural place fo most native and some domestic plants

Thanks for the Creation video, Teresa. Entirely beautiful. I’ve heard Van do that song, and this version is nearly that good. You have wonderful taste in music. And kettling is what Brit cops call rounding up protesters, just short of killing them, which is what they generally do.

How was she treated poorly in the Blythewood and the Baird House? I wonder.

Named buildings have themselves more often than not been treated poorly in the naming. For example: Sears Tower forever!

Somewhere I have a cartoon that shows an invisible beggar with his dog, and the sign (floating in mid-air) says “Thank God you can be seen.”

@gaijinrabbit: I love honey. I respect honeybees. Just not around me. And yellowjackets bite the wax tadpole. They’re mean, aggressive, sting for no reason and give me the screaming wagga-waggas. Phobias know no reason, no logic, no ten-dollar words. Dammit Jim, I’m a linguist, not a beekeeper. See that howling wolf there? That’s me, complaining about the inconquerable nature of an irrational fear.
