brightr1: Actually yes. My old one wore out and I suddenly found the handle had punched through the bell. Had to get a new one. However, I do keep them separate from the handleless one I use for a trombone mute.
There’s an easy way to get that up (especially when it’s new and clean)… just push the side in while you lift up the corner. Or if you can’t pull it up, get a solid wedge (even a hard dustpan) and wiggle it under one corner… it’ll break the seal and let it pop right off. …What Plugger wouldn’t know that? :-s ;-)

Pull really hard and let the handle come up and pop you in the nose.

Good idea! Save yourself a trip back if it doesn’t work!

Better than someone I know, who buys the tool, takes it home and uses it and then returns it for a refund. A plugger would NEVER do that!

I even used it once to pull a dent out of the side of a ’58 Ford.

That type mute is essential for the sound of adults in the Peanut TV shows, in case you are wondering.

Another caption for this cartoon could be… “The Plugger Heart Defibulator”
