That’s the new two-handed method of holding the ball. It works great except that the holder’s right hand absorbs a vicious kick usually resulting in broken bones.

Number 69 blocked the kick, get him a sticker for his helmet.

Bet Mimi didn’t go to the game to sit in wet bleachers.

I’m pretty sure the Wildcat is going to be upset over this one. His boy could block a packed mini-van back four yards to pick up a first down.

The artist should get away of using a flair marker to ink his art. There is no various of line and it makes the artwork look like it was traced. I think this artist is struggling to draw athletic figures.

You know, where I live we are in the last three weeks of the HS football season. Wildcat, his coach stooge, and mystery kicker have a lot of loose ends to work out, especially considering there will also be a three strip arc sensitizing all to Asperger’s.Anyone remember the last time Milford made the state playdowns? Doesn’t look good this year, either.

“They” say that the definition of insanity is repeating the same actions and expecting different results. By this definition, Thorp is insane. He keeps trying to kick field goals and it never works this season. Wildcat has reason to start an insurrection against this madness, but he will end up sleeping with the racoons at Carbone Cave.

We all laugh. But it will be a sad, sad day when this comic strip comes to an end.

In a surprise twist, it’s a six-legged alien, not Abro, who becomes the new kicker.

Saying that kick wasn’t close is an exaggeration. Apparently Derek kicked it a whopping 9 yards in the air. As the arc of the ball shows, it is LANDING on the defensive lineman’s shoulder!

The holder is Uri Geller. Or an anagram of that name.

Milford winless yet again. Thorp would be fired in many school systems. Why does every game come down to a field goal attempt in the final minute? Oh, yeah, the story line. Still, if their offense was potent enough (which it isn’t) they wouldn’t have to worry about a field goal.

I know it’s just a comic, but c’mon. A coach that can’t find someone who can kick an extra point attempts a field goal, using a guy who’s never had an attempt, in a driving rain, when the opposing punter has already slipped on the turf, and it’s only 4 yards for a first down? There isn’t a high school team in the country that would try that.

@sdebarr: The holder can’t be Uri Geller or the ball would have been psychokines’ed through the uprights.
