Yeah, I wonder what Tracy’s going to do if Big Boy decides to change the schedule! And what about Tess? Is she still with the Mole?BTW, I love the wanted poster of Flattop in panel 3! Great stuff!
GOOD ANALYSIS, DAN! I’ve gone through three cups of coffee trying to find the code. Mike had better give us the key to the code or I’m gonna feel like a dufus! I can smell the cookies from here, Aunt Marg!
I agree with other sentiments posted here: let’s hope Tracy hasn’t blown his cover (does Lawson even HAVE a sister?). I’m surprised the flea bag hotel even has a phone in the room.
Re your comment from two days ago:.“While I’ve enjoyed this retelling and the many cameoes, I feel I have to call out Mike Curtis on the last couple.” (Followed by your noting of discrepancies in the appearence of the Mole and Laffy from their original appearances)..While Mike’s already owned up to making a continuity glitch here (and, let’s remember, there’s more than right decades of continuity to keep track of; even Gould made some glitches), I think we should remind ourselves that this is Sam’s thrice-removed version being related to Lizz. That being the case, since he’s apparently never gotten the straight scoop directly from Tracy or Tess, but probably put the story together from several second-hand sources, it’s not at all unlikely that he’d get the general thrust of the story right, but make a few mistakes in the details..Which leaves Mike free to introduce a lot of people into the story who probably, in a more accurate account, didn’t have anything to do with it, but which, in this telling, add to the nostalgic appeal.
totally agree — oop is completely off the rails — storyline, artwork, continuity, ridiculous and lame dialogues, very much like the old tracy before Mike and Joe took over.
I’ve got to say, that must have been SOME code the boys worked out. Something that would cover every contingency? Even after reading Mike’s explanation, it gives me pause. How did they even know it was a bank job in the works? Tracy went under cover to find Tess and to catch the hoods that held up the deli and killed Emil Trueheart. Oh, well.

I didn’t explain that very well, I noticed. Feeding the dogs would be code for one bank, feed the cat for another.

Never paid attention before, but I notice DT is left-handed. Has that been consistent over the years?
