Two years ago I ate three big bags of candy corn……Yeah, I know…I don’t know what got into me..(well, other than the corn..), About every other Easter I break the world’s record for most jelly beans eaten in the spring….I just keep breaking my own records….

I don’t see why everyone picks on candy corn. I like it.

Hang tough, Pilsner! If Moonie cracks, will we notice the difference?

    Pilsner, you’re stalling.

The first step is to admit you already ate all the candy.

And I like candy corn too — especially the ones with one chocolatey section…

And “Halloween mix” — the same stuff molded into orange pumpkins and chocolate bats.

But half way into a bag I’m done till next year.

BTW, when I was a kid, you could buy little boxes of “Chocolate Babies” made of that stuff.

They became socially unacceptable when people realised the name was rather racist — but I think another company makes them now as “retro” candy.

I’m not alarmed. If he starts to eat a stale M&M found between the soda cushions then I’ll start to be more concerned.

I will eat candy corn, but my weakness is Smarties—pressed sugar with a little color and flavoring. I allow myself one bag a year (3 1/2lb) in October. I don’t share it with anyone and have to put it out of easy reach to be sure I don’t over indulge.

shytimes – the source files, the ones originally colored, are consistent, but there have been quality control issues in the production chain afterwards, leading to muted/distorted on screen coloring. These files go through a number of steps so there a number of “opportunities” for problems to crop up.

I remember candy lipsticks and those little boxes of pumpkin seeds for 3 cents. I remember fondly those caramel suckers called Sugar Daddies. With them, you found a little card inside of a bird or something and a fortune was written on the stick. I remember those little wafer candies called satellites and Charms lollipops. We had some good candy then.
